Subracks for Railway Applications – Reliable Solutions for Rail Vehicles and Transport Infrastructure

The EuropacPRO subracks from Schroff/nVent have been specifically developed for the requirements of railway technology. They reliably protect electronics in railway power supply, train control, and signaling technology—whether in the train, station, signal box, or along the track. Thanks to their modular design, they meet the highest demands for cooling, EMC shielding, mechanical stability, as well as shock and vibration resistance.

Four optimized versions are available for different areas of application:

• Type L (“Light”) is suitable for indoor areas such as stations or signal boxes, where no EMC shielding is required and a particularly favorable price is the focus.
• Type F (“Flexible”) offers maximum flexibility, as the basic version is unshielded but can be retrofitted with EMC shielding. Additionally, depth-adjustable 19-inch brackets and various module rails allow for individual customization.
• Type H (“Heavy”) was developed for increased mechanical requirements. With reinforced side panels and front handles, it withstands shock loads up to 5 G and is tested according to the standards of Deutsche Bahn (DB) and SNCF.
• Type R (“Rugged”) is the most robust variant, designed for extreme loads up to 25 G and vibration resistance thanks to reinforced module rails and stainless steel screws.
