Hoods/Housings with PG entry thread

The housings with PG threads (Panzergewinde) are a proven solution for classic cable glands according to DIN standards - ideal for applications in mechanical engineering, control cabinets, and existing industrial systems with PG systems. Difference between PG and metric threads PG threads (Panzergewinde) and metric threads differ in their pitch, 

• Shape and dimension standard:
  • PG threads are measured in inches (e.g. PG11, PG21) and have a round thread profile, making them particularly suitable for thin-walled housings. They were predominantly used in electrical engineering in the past. 
  • Metric threads conform to the international ISO standard (e.g. M20, M25) and have a triangular thread profile - today the common standard for new installations and internationally used products.

In existing systems with PG glands, the use of PG housings is recommended to enable a compatible and cost-efficient retrofit.
